With Independence day fast approaching, Shanti and JK have compiled an impressive list of forgotten heroes and events. Bravo to both of you, the Bharateeya Bloggers of the week! [I’ve linked to the categories, so everyone gets a nice buffet of posts from Shanti and JK]

A short note to welcome on board MadMan who will be guest blogging on AnarCapLib.
Expect some juicy, irreverent and very thought provoking posts!
Alter Ego is back in action.
Somehow the blogroll does not show *new* when certain blogs are updated. Will my techie friends please enlighten me?
I’ve decided to name my blog “AnarCapLib.” I shall explain it in detail when I write up the “about me” page. Those who know me know what it means. For the others, it’s rather easy to guess. Anyway, all shall be revealed in around a month’s time!
A request to nice folks who have me on […]
The next blog mela will be observed by JK on Varnam. For instructions and more, click here.
For my money, the blogger of the week is Niraj. One, he blogs around five times a day; two, he includes at least one well written comment on policy every day; three, he’s giving me a major complex! The top five from Niraj are:
Rebuilding Afghanistan through oil | Belgian War Crimes (I love it when supercilious nations get their comeuppance!) More here | India’s pathetic adoption system | The conversion tamasha between the world two largest (and most proselytising) religions | and the best, Niraj’s cheer for globalisation–with facts collected by a global attitude survey.
. . .the developing world is telling these anti-globalisation protestors to take a hike, or, better yet, jump off a cliff.
Bravo!
Announcement for the 18th Bharateeya Blog Mela to be held on June 25 on www.yazadjal.com
Cheers! The Bharateeya Blog Mela completes it’s first decade! Let’s celebrate by moving straight on to the main event…
The seminal stuff this week is from Dina Mehta. Her three pieces on Youth Futures scratches way beneath the surface. I liked the way she fuses market research with a social vision and understanding.
Shyamal’s Photolog is […]

It’s been a fun and learning experience compiling this edition of the Bharateeya Blog Mela. Hope to do a better job next week. A big thanks to Sampada and Shanti for all your help. To all you nice people who sent in nominations, keep ‘em flowing! BTW, the dates are there just in case the […]
Starting this on my brother’s birthday!
Enjoy life and I’ll wait a day before bombarding my bullshit. If you belive in astrology then all my shit is bullshit as I’m supposedly a Taurean. Oops! You guessed it — I think astrology is bullshit personified.
