Cricket is in the air

Cricket is in the air. Yes, I know it’s a cliché (Amit won’t let me get away with it), but it is so true. I was walking back to office a few minutes ago and I got to know the state of the match without asking anyone.

Guy with ear to radio: “Ek aur wicket gaya. 6 wicket down”
Passerby just ahead of me: “Kitne run banaye?”
Guy with ear to radio: “130″
Passerby:”Inzamam hai ya gaya?”
Guy with ear to radio: “Woh to pehle hi out ho gaya”

Pakistan seems to be crumbling under the Tendulkar effect (i.e. when Tendulkar does badly with the bat, he starts taking wickets instead). For the latest, cricinfo is a great source. Here’s their ball-by-ball scoreboard with commentary for this match.

As I save this post, Pak is 152/8 with Tendulkar’s figures reading 9-1-40-4.

Update: Tendulkar wants to finish it off. 152/9 now.
