A Moveable Feast

For me, Marine Drive in Bombay is a moveable feast. Wherever I’ve gone, Marine Drive has stayed with me.
What’s your moveable feast?
Carter Road, Bandra. Or the way it used to be.
Does anyone think its really pathetic that the nariman point feast has been eradicated for some *%&$’s idea of beautification? movable shouldn’t mean moved around according to the powerfuls whims and fancies….
Bandra Bandstand :)
Yazad, Send me your email address and I’ll send you the document on speaking you requested….
Jaisalmer!
Just generally Bombay for me.
I you want to drill it down to a particular place where I really get a sense of home is Colaba Causeway and the area surrounding it.
Maybe cause I went to school there and college was not very far off. And I’ve been to almost every restaurant, shop and building there.
Installation of security code system successful.
villar ville…….on apollo bunder…….now ruined by tarun tahiliani…….
Prabhadevi, Dadar. The pollution, the dirt, everything included!
Nandan… Dude, whats this about Prabhadevi having pollution or dirt?!
Well, as for pollution, the place where I lived (on the 12th floor) had a lot of soot coming from the factories nearby, for all the glorious views it offered. as for dirt, ever tried going anywhere near the Dadar chowpatty/ worli koliwada? That too, was pretty close to my house.
Nandan, which plumes of smoke are you referring to in Prabhadevi? The only chimneys in the vicinity no longer spew smoke except for occasional cleaning which is rare. They used to regularly spew plumes of smoke, but many years back, my dad corresponded with the then Environment minister and got the polluting units to stop it.
Bombay it is (and don’t insist I call it Mumbai. ugh!) Can anything get more movabler or feastier?
Ditto Gaurav. Jaisalmer for me too.
