What exactly are the Chinese upto? I am sure the extraordinary difference in pollution between the two countries cannot be accounted for either by difference in types of industries, difference in levels of development. I suspect Chinese food.

It’s got more to do with the climate, geography and weather patterns. Most of the pollution generated by Bombay is blown away due to the sea breezes.

CK, what is the weather pattern that makes China so polluted? I can understand the difference between Bombay and Delhi, though I am still amazed that the Bombay-Pune belt is so less polluted. Not all of it is close to the sea.
I hate when this happens.
