Tarot crap
Published by MadMan September 11th, 2004 in Atheism, MediaCricket madness has seized this country once again and Sony is back to televising the tournament with its regular band of clowns, freaks, and other assorted circus characters in “Extraaa Innings”. (No sign of Venkatesh “Mumbling” Prasad so far, but nobody has silenced Kris “Switched Mouth with Arse” Srikanth yet.)
The tarot card reader Ma Prem Ritambhara is back as well. Ritambara, whose record of correct predictions is hardly more than that of regular chance, was today asked specifically about Sehwag’s batting by taklu Charu Sharma. Consulting her magic deck of cards, she got one of a guy riding on his horse. And confidently she pronounced, “he’s going to come charging on his horse. He’ll do good.” (paraphrased)
Sehwag threw his wicket away in a silly way by swinging his bat wildly at a ball that missed it by a mile and hit the stumps.
He scored a huge 17.
She read the card wrong. The correct interpretation is that he will ‘leave’ the field very quickly.
I guess she should have said he will come and go charging on a horse!
:-)
I’m surprised that ehy even had something like that on a sports analysis show.
All I can do is to hope that Sehwag didnt see the program and the prediction?
Tarot card reader, astrologer and every other kind of people enjoying the time of their life and the probably the time since the inception of their art (because i can’t call it a science as moronli irrr muruli manohar joshi would want me to do). These guys are not blamed if they don’t get it wrong, well because nobody expected them to predict correctly. IF by chance they get it right you are hailed. This Ritambhara got the prediction right in the last world cup final and since then has been enjoying celeberity status in de;hi and around. Iguess this was it and i now predict her downfall.

In one match she also predicted that rain would hold up the game but it didn’t and I was wondering how long before they decide to kick her out… I mean… cricket and tarot reading????? It completely ruins the concept of ’sport’, and makes it into some tantric superstitious mumbo jumbo!!
ROFLMAO. her predictions for today’s SL-ZIM match. “Zim will hv a tough time”. Guess my 5-yr old neighbor can also predict that. Set MAX has made a total mockery of cricket!
3 cheers to exxtraa shittins
