Bangalore bound

I’m making a quickie visit to Bangalore over the weekend. It is my second favourite city in India after all! Will be there from Saturday morning till Monday evening. Work on those two days, but Sunday looks great for meeting bloggers and friends.

A Book you libertarians might find interesting and you might consider picking up on your trip to Bangalore
    Snow Crash
By Neal Stephenson who also wrote another great book called Cryptonomicon

Don’t worry it is not anti-libertarian at all. It is in fact set in a libertarian world of the future. A couple of teasers that you might find interesting:
    - The US is divided into burbclaves - pivate nations of sort which have their own private police forces (the poorer ones hire police forces from other burbclaves).

    - The CIA has been revamped to form the CIC (Central Intelligence Corporation) which has publically traded shares and pays top $ for information which it then sells to the highest bidder.

I’m about 1/2 way through - fascinating book and thought I’d share Stephenson’s visons of a libertarian future with all of you hardcore libertarians.
