Today is Norman Borlaug’s 90th birthday

Quick, without googling, tell me who is Norman Borlaug?

Once again. No googling please. I’ve talked of him on my blog earlier so no looking there either, and if you know about him only from looking there earlier, you are disqualified from answering. It is supposed to be Indian tradition to be eternally grateful to someone whose salt you have eaten. I just want to know how many Indians know who he was and what he did.

    Responsible for developing the hybrid strain of wheat, and rice, then adapted into the Green revolution. I didn’t google, I swear!
