Methinks laws are written using complex verbiage so that the layman gives up trying to understand them. And that's why we need fraudsters...err..lawyers to &quot;interpret&quot; them and judges to cross verify whether the interpretations are right. Of course, it's a different matter (as you rightly said) that even the judges' &quot;interpretations&quot; can be bought.

					<description>Well most laws are written by lawyers. Lawyers made up more than 50% of India's constituent assembly. And this trend continued for the first few Lok Sabhas. 

Gandhi, Nehru, Rajagopalachari, Patel were all lawyers.</description>
