For example, if you ping weblogs.com as "http://yazadjal.com" and I have you linked as ""http://yazadjal.com/index.html" or somesuch, then I won't see the updates on your blog, because the link that I am looking at, is different from the link you are sending out. Hope that made sense :) I think the problem is also the way your ping link is versus the link by which others are linking to you.
